Frequently asked questions

Getting Started

What are your minimum order requirements?

Minimum order requirements vary based on product category and project type:

  • Chairs & standard seating: Minimum 20 units
  • Hotel guestroom packages: Minimum 5 guestrooms’ worth of furniture, unless ordering a model suite or mock-up prototype
  • Lobby & public-area furniture: Select designs have no minimum order requirement

If you’re uncertain whether your project qualifies, our team will guide you through options and the best path forward.

Do you supply furniture to residential buyers?

CFS Hospitality supplies commercial-grade furniture designed for hotels, restaurants, and public-use environments.
Because of our minimums and hospitality-grade materials, we generally do not supply residential projects.

How do I request a quote for my project?

Simply share your floor plans, FF&E schedule, or furniture list. Our estimating team will prepare a tailored proposal.

How early in my project should I contact CFS?

The earlier the better. Engaging us during design development allows accurate budgeting, finish recommendations, engineering, and alignment with construction schedules—reducing risk and avoiding delays later on.

CUSTOM MANUFACTURING & DESIGN SUPPORT

What is the minimum order for custom-designed furniture?

Custom-manufactured items that are not part of our standard collection typically require a minimum of 50 units.
Ideal for:

  • Restaurant chain rollouts
  • Hotel brand standards
  • Multi-property groups

Do you provide shop drawing and engineering for custom pieces?

Yes. Our engineering team produces detailed shop drawings showing construction, materials, and finish specifications.
These are reviewed and approved before production begins.

Can you produce prototypes or model suites?

Absolutely. CFS frequently manufactures model suites and prototype furniture for hotels and restaurant brands.
This allows your team to review comfort, finishes, and scale before moving to full manufacturing.

Can you help with design, finish selection, and material recommendations?

Yes. We regularly assist designers, ownership groups, and procurement teams with:

  • Finish selection
  • Performance recommendations
  • Material suitability (vinyl vs textile vs leather)
  • Hospitality durability guidance
  • Colour & stain matching

This ensures your final furniture meets brand intent, budget, and commercial durability requirements.

Can upholstered goods be produced using COM or designer-specific fabrics?

Yes. Any upholstered product we supply can be made using COM fabric or leather.
Please note this may affect lead times and pricing.

For optimal durability and value, we recommend our CFS commercial-grade fabrics, vinyls, and leathers.

Can I use RAL colours for custom finishes?

Yes—RAL colours can be matched when a physical control sample is provided.
Standard designs come with pre-curated hospitality-grade finish options.

  • Transit: e.g., Vancouver → Toronto typically 5–7 business days

Our team will help build a project timeline aligned with your construction schedule.
